The final meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project named "Digital Preschools", a European Union (EU) Project carried out by Karabük University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering, was held in Karabük.
At the meeting, the 24-month project process and its outcomes were evaluated.
The project, which was initiated with the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project to increase the international cooperation capacities of institutions operating in the field of pre-school education and to share experiences, aims to transfer innovative approaches and increase the quality of education. Within the scope of the project, it is aimed to encourage the sharing of knowledge and experience among participating institutions, to ensure the dissemination of innovative practices in education and to contribute to increasing the quality of education and learning at the European level.
Within the scope of the project carried out under the leadership of Karabük University in cooperation with Slovenia, Latvia, Estonia and local partners, a digital education platform for pre-school students was designed. Within the framework of the "Digital Kindergartens" project prepared within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project, 750 digital educational materials were prepared to enable children to learn while having fun. The materials include topics such as numbers, geometric shapes, colors, basic mathematical operations, science, technology, engineering, plants, animals and seasons. These educational materials were made accessible on different platforms by enabling children to make applications via computers, mobile phones and tablets.
With this project, an important step will be taken to strengthen international cooperation in school education and increase the quality of education.
